Industrial Supply Company Opens Spanish Fork Location to Better Serve Economic Growth in Central and Southern Utah

The U.S. Census Bureau released the first population counts from the 2020 Census, revealing the Intermountain West’s remarkable growth over the past decade. Among all 50 states and the District of Columbia, Utah saw the largest population growth with an 18.4% growth rate. Three of Utah’s neighbors – Idaho, Nevada, and Colorado – also saw large population growth, ranking 2nd, 5th, and 6th respectively on the Bureau’s list of top growing states.

These high growth rates are no surprise to Industrial Supply Company, which has served the Intermountain West for over a century. More people means more building, more jobs, and more industry, all of which require our services. Through customized inventory management strategies, a comprehensive selection of industrial products, and personalized customer service, we have worked hard to ensure that our clients are able to succeed in our rapidly changing region.

There have been times when population and economic growth compel our company to make some changes so that we are in the best position possible to support our customers. The most recent example of this is our decision to move our Utah County branch location from Orem to Spanish Fork so that we can better serve Central and Southern Utah.

When we first opened our Orem location in 1980, the population in Utah County was less than a third of what it is now, and our primary accounts were located within county lines. Since then, our accounts, along with economic development, have significantly expanded in areas south of Utah County, making Spanish Fork’s southern location critical to decreasing the time it takes to transport inventory items and increasing supply chain efficiencies.

In addition to offering a more strategic location, our Spanish Fork facility includes much-needed warehouse space and a loading dock, both of which allow us to store client inventory close to the worksites that need it. That, along with more parking and room for workplace safety and other trainings, make the Spanish Fork facility an ideal place to provide the superior customer service that is fundamental to our business plan.

We have loved being a part of the Orem business community, and are grateful to the city for hosting our company for over 40 years. We look forward to serving current and future customers throughout Central and Southern Utah from our new Spanish Fork location.
