Industrial Supply Celebrates Safety Month

Each year in June, Industrial Supply Company aims to raise awareness about National Safety Month to promote safety in the workplace. During Safety Month, Industrial Supply offers free safety trainings at Toolapalooza, an all-day event at our Salt Lake City and Orem locations that features giveaways, marked down inventory, and safety demonstrations.

Establishing a culture of safety in the workplace is vital. More than 13 American workers die on the job each day. In 2015, 4,836 workers were killed on the job, with falls accounting for 39% of the nation’s work-related deaths. With such alarming statistics, it’s important to be aware of what it takes to stay safe at work. With proper training and equipment, workers have comfort in knowing they can go home to their families at the end of each day.

As always, Tyler Whipple and Paul Wanek, our QSSP Safety Specialists, will be at our Toolapalooza event to answer questions and provide information about safety services and trainings. Their combined expertise and knowledge in occupational health & safety helps thousands of workers across the Intermountain West stay safe on the job each and every day.

Throughout the year, Industrial Supply offers a wide selection of free training courses, audits, and educational programs to support worker and employer safety awareness. In fact, our active involvement and service to key industries here in Utah led to Salt Lake City Mayor Jackie Biskupski proclaiming June 22nd "Industrial Supply Day." Our year-round safety efforts involve working with companies to make sure their facilities are up-to-date on compliance and health standards, and providing assistance in helping safety professionals get certified on a variety of training topics.
